At the invitation of O.P.Jindal Global University, Amb. Lu Shumin, Executive President of the CPIFA led a delegation to India for the International Conference on South-South Humanitarianism from Nov. 24 to Nov.29, 2014 and made a keynote speech on China’s Foreign Disaster Assistance Programs. In his speech, Amb. Lu introduced the fundamental principles of China’s external aid and the humanitarian policy based on mutual respect , equal and win-win cooperation and no interference in the internal affairs of recipient contries. He also expounded China’s humanitarian deeds in recent years and its cooperation with international community against the Ebola epidemic, which was appreciated by the participants of the conference. They believed that the Southern states have become self-reliant and stronger and played a more and more important role on international humanitarian aid in the past ten years. They wished that the international community should intensify its humanitarian efforts and provide more assistance to those in need of help.
