At the invitation of the CPIFA, the Legislative Delegation, headed by Madam Speaker Tina Kotek of the House of Representatives, State of Oregon of the United States, visited Beijing, Tianjin, Xi’an, Changsha and Fujian from June 7th to 18th. Mr. You Quan, Secretary of Fujian Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Fujian Provincial People’s Congress, Mr. Xiao Huaiyuan, Chairman of the Standing Committee of Tianjin Municipal People’s Congress, Ms. Xu Lin, Director-General of Hanban and Amb. Lu Shumin, Executive Vice President of CPIFA respectively met with the delegation. The Oregon side signed a number of agreements and MOUs with Tianjin, Changsha and Putian Conclusive Pilot Zone through the trip. They also exchanged views on the environmental protection and sustainable development and the management of Confucius Institute and Classrooms in Oregon.
