At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Pekka Ravi, First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Finland, visited Beijing and Shaanxi from 2 to 7June. During his visit in Beijing, Mr. QiangbaPuncog,Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the NPC,Mr. Zhang Qingli, Vice-Chairman and Secretary Generalof the National Committee of the CPPCC, and Amb. Sun Ronmin, Vice President of the CPIFA, met with him respectively. The two sides exchanged views on the promotion ofexchanges and cooperation between the two countries. In Shaanxi, Mr. Li Xiaodong, Executive Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Shaanxi Provincial People’s Congress,met with Mr. Ravi and briefed the delegation on the development of local economy and society.
