The 4th Seminar on China-Indonesia Relations Holds in Indonesia

       On March 18 and 19, the 4th Seminar on China-Indonesia Relations, co-sponsored by the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) and the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), was successfully held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The Chinese delegation led by Amb. Lu Shumin, Executive President of CPIFA and consisting of 12 Chinese experts and scholars, visited Yogyakarta and attended the Seminar. Under the theme of “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership: The Next Step in Indonesia-China Relations”, the delegates from both sides had a frank and in-depth discussion on the subjects of political-security cooperation, business and trade, social-cultural exchange and regional cooperation.

       After the seminar, the working group of CPIFA led by Amb. Lu Shumin paid a visit to Jakarta. In Jakarta, the working group had a meeting with Mr. Wahid Supriyadi, Act. Head of Policy Analysis and Development Agency, and exchanged ideas with ASEAN Foundation and Habibie Center on think tank cooperation between the two countries.
