At the invitation of CPIFA, Mr. Göran Persson, former Prime Minister of Sweden, visited China at the head of the Sweden-China Trade Council Delegation from 12 to 18 January 2014. Mr. Wan Gang, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC and Minister of Science and Technology, Mr. Zeng Peiyan, Chairman of China Center for International Economic Exchanges, Mr. Zhou Shengxian, Minister of Environment Protection, Mr. Qi Ji, Vice Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and Mr. He Jianzhong, Vice Minister of Transport, met with Mr. Persson respectively. The two sides exchanged views on China-Sweden relations, bilateral economic cooperation and investment, China’s urbanization and clean energy development. Mr. Persson also visited Chongqing and met with Mr. Huang Qifan, Mayor of Chongqing. The two sides exchanged views on economic and social development in Chongqing and Swedish investment there.
