Delegation of the Islamabad Council of World Affairs Visits China

       At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), a 10-people delegation of Islamabad Council of World Affairs (ICWA) visited Beijing, Urumqi and Kashgar from September 9 to 15. The delegation is led by Mr. Mohammad Bilal, Vice President of ICWA and senior advocate of the supreme court of Pakistan and consists of senior former ambassadors and famous businessmen. During their stay in Beijing, Amb. Lu Shumin, Executive Vice President of CPIFA met with and hosted a luncheon in their honor. They also held discussions with the China Institute of International Studies (CIIS) and the China Institutes of Contemporary International Studies (CICIS) respectively. During their stay in Xinjiang, Mr. Kurexi Maihesuti, Vice Governor met with and hosted a dinner for the delegation.

       The Pakistani guests exchanged views with their Chinese counterparts on areas of China-Pakistan and Pakistan-India relations as well as the situation of Afghanistan. They expressed their heartfelt thanks to the considerate arrangement and warm hospitality of the Chinese side, and they promise to make a greater contribution to the healthy development of China-Pakistan all-weather partnership.
