At the invitation of CPIFA, the Legislative Delegation, headed by Sen. Christine Radongo, Senate Republican Leader, of Illinois State, the United States, visited Shenzhen, Guilin, Shanghai, Shenyang and Beijing from July 29 to August 9, 2013. Mr. Huang Jiefu, Deputy Director-General of Commission of Education, Science, Culture, Health and Sports, the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and Mr. Liu Dianxun, Director-General of Investment Promotion Agency, Ministry of Commerce, met with the delegatesrespectively; Mr. Zhang Ping, Vice President of CPIFA, met with and held a luncheonin their honor in Beijing. Mr. Wu Zhiming, Chairman of Shanghai Municipal CPPCC, met with them in Shanghai. Ms. Gao Peng, Vice Chairwoman of Liaoning Provincial CPPCC, hosted a welcoming luncheon in Shenyang. The delegation members are impressed by the social and economic developments achieved by China over the past three decades since the reform and opening-up policy was introduced. The Illinois guests also exchanged views with the Chinese hosts on areas of investment, trade, society management, health care and education.
