U.S. Congressional Black Caucus Delegation Visits China

       At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs(CPIFA),10 members of the U.S. Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), and their staffers, visited Beijing and Shanghai from August 3 to 10, 2013. During their stay in Beijing, Vice Premier Liu Yandong, Mme. Fu Ying, Chairwoman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People’s Congress, Mr. Luo Liming, Vice Minister of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, Amb. Lu Shumin, CPIFA Executive Vice President, and Mr. Zheng Zeguang, Assistant Foreign Minister met with them respectively. The two sides exchanged views on issues of China-U.S. relationship, including trade and economic cooperation and people-to-people exchanges. This is the first time that CBC organized its members to visit China.
