The 3^rd Dialogue on US-China Relations, co-sponsored by China Institute for Innovation and Development Strategy (CIIDS), the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) and Law School of Yale University, was held in Beijing from July 2^nd to 3^rd, 2013. Amb. Yang Wenchang, President of CPIFA, delivered an opening remark. Mr. Zheng Bijian, Chairman of CIIDS, Gen. Ge Zhenfeng, former PLA Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Lt. Gen. Chen Xiaogong, former Deputy Commander of PLA Air Force and other renowned Chinese scholars participated in the meeting. Participants from the US side include Mr. Stephen Hadley, former Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs, Mr. James Steinberg, former Deputy Secretary of State and Prof. Paul Gewirtz, Director of China Center at Law School of Yale University, etc. The two sides exchanged views on the establishment of a new model of major power relationship, national defense, cybersecurity and bilateral investment and cooperation. State Councilor Yang Jiechi met with the American delegation on the sideline of the dialogue.
