On 22 April, 2013, Ambassador Sun Rongmin, Vice President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), met with a delegation of Russian young diplomats.

       Ambassador Sun briefed the guests the history and function of the CPIFA and answered questions on China’s ties with Russia, the U.S., EU as well as neighboring countries, BRICS cooperation mechanism and new type of relationship among majorpowers.

      With a view to deepening understanding and exchanges between young diplomats and youths of the two countries, the Foreign Ministries of China and Russia have agreed on the exchange of visits of young diplomats on an annual basis. As the first delegation under the mechanism, the delegation of Russian Young Diplomats visited China from 22 to 26 April.
