At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), the U.S. Congressional Staff Delegation organized by the U.S. National Committee on U.S.-China Relations (NCUSCR) visited China from December 5 to 13. The delegation is comprised of a number of state directors working for senators of the U.S. Congress. During their stay in China, the delegation visited Beijing, Xishuangbanna Prefecture and Kunming City in Yunnan Province. Vice President Zhang Ping of the CPIFA, Governor Dao Linyin of Xishuangbanna Prefecture and Deputy Director Chai Wenrui of Yunnan Provincial Foreign Affairs Office met with the delegation on different occasions. The delegation held discussions with the Chinese side on a wide range of issues, particularly the China-U.S. relations, bilateral economic cooperation and trade.
