At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), Mr. Clark Randt, former US Ambassador to China visited Beijing from August 28^th to September 1^st. During his stay, Mr. Yang Jiechi, Minster of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Wang Guangya, Minister of Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, General Xiong Guangkai, Former Deputy Chief of General Staff of the PLA, Mr. Zheng Bijian, President of the China Institute for Innovation and Development Strategy, Mr. Cui Tiankai, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Wang Chao, Vice Minister of Commerce, Amb. Chen Yonglong, Vice President of the CPIFA, Mr. Huang Zhenchun, Deputy Director of National Museum of China, respectively met with or hosted banquet in his honor. The two sides exchanged views on Sino-US relations, Sino-US trade and economic relations, US presidential election in 2012 and the US interests in Hong Kong SAR.
