At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), Mr. Romano Prodi, former President of the European Commission and Prime Minister of Italy, visited China from March 8 to 16. In Beijing, Ambassador Yang Wenchang, President of CPIFA met with Mr. Prodi. The two sides exchanged views on sovereign debt crisis in Europe, prospects for European integration and G20. Mr. Prodi also visited Shanghai and Wenzhou on academic activities organized by China Europe International Business School.
