On June 16^th, the third plenary meeting of the Committee for Future Development of China-ROK Relations was held online & offline in Beijing and Seoul. Zhang Ping, Chairman of the Chinese Committee & Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 12^th National People’s Congress of China, and Im Chae-Jeong, Chairman of the Korean Committee & former Chairman of the Korean National Assembly, addressed the opening ceremony. Wang Chao, Chairman of the Chinese Executive Committee & President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), and his ROK counterpart, Hong Hyun-Ik, President of the Korean National Diplomatic Academy, delivered speeches at the meeting. Both sides spoke highly of China-ROK relations and stressed that all committee members should contribute wisdom and efforts to the future sound development of bilateral ties. The progress made in the past months was summarized at the meeting and committee members exchanged their views on the key points in their future work.
