The CPIFA and the Center for a New American Security Hold Video Dialogue on South Asia

On April 20, the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) and the Center for a New American Security (CNAS) held a video dialogue on South Asia, which was co-chaired by Mr. Wang Chao, President of the CPIFA, and Mr. Richard Fontaine, Chief Executive Officer of the CNAS.

The participants on the Chinese side include Amb. Wei Wei, Advisor to the CPIFA Council and former Chinese Ambassador to India, Mr. Rong Ying, Vice President of the China Institute of International Studies, Prof. Ye Hailin, Member of the CPIFA Council and Vice Dean of the Institute of Asia-Pacific and Global Strategy at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Prof. Hu Shisheng, Director of the Institute for South Asia Studies at the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, and Prof. Wang Xu, Executive Deputy Director of the Center for South Asian Studies at Peking University.

The participants on the US side include Ms. Lisa Curtis, Director of the Indo-Pacific Security Program at the CNAS, Mr. Jacob Stokes, Fellow of the Indo-Pacific Security Program at the CNAS, Mr. Ashley Tellis, Chair for Strategic Affairs of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Prof. Daniel Markey, Senior Advisor on South Asia at the United States Institute of Peace, Ms. Tanvi Madan, Director of the India Project at the Brookings Institution, and Prof. David Schullman, Director of the China Global Hub at the Atlantic Council.
