Vice President Li Huilai Attends 2021 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit

2021 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit was held from September 26 to 28 in Wuzhen, Zhejiang province. Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the conference. Liu He, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee andVice Premier, read out President Xi Jinping’s congratulatory letter and delivereda speech via video link at the opening ceremony. Li Huilai, Vice President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) attended the opening ceremony, and delivered a speech at the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation on Cyberspace.

Under the theme of “Jointly Building the Digital Silk Road with a Closer Partnership”, the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation on Cyberspace was hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission and the CPIFA, and co-organized by the Internet Society of China. Mr. Shang Bing, President of the Internet Society of China, Mayra Arevich Marín, Minister of Communications of the Republic of Cuba and Lacina Koné, Director General of Smart Africa Secretariatattended the delivered speeches at the opening ceremony of the Forum. More than 100 distinguished guests from home and abroad attended the forum online and offline and held discussions on accelerating the construction of information infrastructure, improving public digital literacy, deepening international cooperation on developing the digital Silk Road and jointly building a closer community with a shared future in cyberspace, etc.
